Fresh & Easy?
So I've been loving my new Fresh and Easy store that is in our town. The prices are fabulous, the produce has been good and the food seems fresh to me. But the other day I came across a sign on the front lawn of a house not far from ours. It says, "I Won't Shop At Fresh & Easy" and then it had the website below listed www.freshandeasyfacts.com
I went to the website and read a bit of the info. Sounds like the violations took place at the parent company over in Britian, not in the US, but still makes me a bit worried. Any thoughts on this?
We are getting one of these stores near me and I'm excited about it. I'm going to go read the site...I've only browsed it a bit. But couldn't any store do this?

Oy, no matter what store you are shopping at SOMEONE is going to be complaining. Wegmans opened near me and there were protesters out there about their eggs.
I take these kinds of things with a grain of salt.

Well I think I'm going to continue to shop there. The prices are fantastic! And all the complaints I read were about the parent company and in England. That's a bit removed for me to worry about. KWIM.

Just more union people throwing stones when they themselves live in glass houses. Union workers do not get benifits until they have worked continuously for a year or more and do not guarentee 20+ hours per week for every employee. from the Fresh and Easy website, Fresh and Easy have committed to 20+ hours per week for every employee hired and comprehensive benifits including dental and vision in much shorter time than the union offers. The union does not want more non union competiton because if they go on strike again there will be more options for consumers to shop without a picket line in front of a store.
