I'm officially an idiot

I stayed up till nearly 2am. The boys slept from 10:45 till 5:15 and I still missed out on sleep. Dumb, dumb, dumb. The good news is I finally finished the boy's birth announcements.  They go in the mail tomorrow (if not sooner). I'll post a pic of it after they have been in the mail a few days. I want to make sure the people who are receiving them via mail, get to see them that way first! 

I must say, it really helped having a completely quiet house to finish that project!

I must be doing something right

Today Jake lost one of his matchbox cars under the hutch. I gave him a long handled spatula in the hopes that he could slide it out from under. Well, he didn't get his car out but he got a huge amount of dust bunnies. Actually it is dog hair attached to dusty bunnies. What does my brilliant, helpful boy do? He asked me for the "brush". Confused I watch him head to the cabinet that holds my dust pan and hand broom. He then cleaned up all of my dust bunnies. What  a kid! 

Wesley is Ticklish!

The other night I was changing Wesley's clothes and he started to laugh. We figured out he is very ticklish under his arms. So we grabbed the video camera and started to video his cuteness.

Right around :14 seconds you an hear him toot! Which cracks hubby and I up. Then the giggling starts around 1:13.

No need to panic

The potential renters didn't pass the credit check. Not even close. Crisis averted for now!

Let me update ya'll

Okay, in a nutshell we are moving. Here is the catch, we are 99% sure we have our home rented to a nice couple and their two kids. Unfortunately, we do not have a home purchased. We open escrow today on a house we made an offer on. This home is a shortsale home, so it could take many weeks or even a few months for the bank to approve the price we offered.  So we have to move to a rental until we purchase a home. 

Finding a rental in the desert this time of year is fairly easy. It is off season, so many people lease out their beautiful homes, furnished. Which really works for me. It would be a lot easier to move just our clothes and everyday essentials. The problem is, we have 3 dogs. Most people don't want to rent to someone with 3 dogs. Especially a furnished rental.

Now, the really interesting part of this non-interesting story. The renters want our place by June 10. Ya, June 10 as in like 2 1/2 weeks. Which means we would be moving by the weekend of the 6 & 7th so that I'd have a few days to clean this place from head to toe.

I really don't want to move my entire house in 2 weeks time with 3mo-old twins and a 3yo, while my husband works full time. I'm feeling just a tiny bit overwhelmed. So instead of starting to pack up things. I'm reading a book and sort of hoping the new renters won't pass the credit check we are checking on today.

Remember

Memorial day is not just an excuse for a BBQ. Please remember the reason for the holiday. Then go enjoy a BBQ, I think our fallen heros would want us to enjoy our freedom.

First I give you the video: Then some pics! We had a great time. It's hard with infant twins to do a lot of things because they are limiting stroller access and Nathan hates slings. But we made it work and really it was all about Jake and his experience. He loved it!
