I got a few photos. Keyword, Few. Babies and 3yo's get crabby very quickly and mommy is out of practice. Here is one of the rejects. I've got one that will work for Mother's Day presents.  (Nathan on the left - Wes on Right)

Another really good night here. We had a slow start getting to bed, so the boys and I went to bed around 11:30. That's very late for me. Prior to kids, I was a 9pm sort of gal! Nathan slept till 1:50 and Wesley slept till 4:30!!! 

Now my goal is going to be spreading out their daytime feeding. Sometimes they want to nurse as often as every 45 minutes. This does not make for a productive day.

I'm trying to think of something to do with all 3 boys outside of the house today. Nothing is coming to mind right now.

5 hours!!!

I got 5 full hours of sleep. The boys went down around 9:45 and didn't wake up till 3:10. My left boob was not happy about the long period of down time. That boob, she's a worker bee I tell ya. I thought she was going to explode. Serious pain when I tried to nurse Wesley. I had to express by hand some milk to relieve the pressure so that I could put him on without crying out. 

I nursed both boys and then I pumped. And I got 7 ounces! I have never been able to get 7 ounces after nursing both babies. Amazing!

Wesley was back up at 5:30 and nursed again well. And Nathan is giving me the grunty warning signs now at 6:20.

Post Birthday Crash and Burn!

Actually this picture was taken on Jake's birthday, not after. Trust me, the past week, this sight (three sleeping boys at the same time) is rare! Yesterday was rough. I had all three boys for 12 hours by myself, which isn't that bad when I'm out and about. But it is tough when we are home all day and tough when both of the babies are gassy.

We did fine though, I was pretty tuckered out when I hit the sheets at 11 pm. But the boys slept okay. Nate woke up at 1:20 and went right back down after nursing. Wes woke up about 40 mins after I got Nate down. Then he had gassy and fussy issues so we were up till 4 am. Then slept till 5:30. I'm hoping for this photo to be recreated this afternoon when Jake gets home from school. Wish me luck!

2 month Ped appointment

Okay, frankly I think my pediatrician sucks. She's obviously been chewed out by some crunchy mom who doesn't believe in vaxing and so she would hardly even touch the subject with me when I had legitimate questions. I even reminded her that my turning-3-on-Wednesday-son is fully up to date on his vaxes. I told her that I probably would vax next appointment (at 4 months). And when I said, " there is so much to consider, it gets confusing". She didn't take that as an opening to give me any advice or even say, "can I answer any questions". We did discuss the Rotavirus. She said that one needs to be done at 4 months to start (at the latest) or it isn't given. She did tell, (when I asked about the newness of the vaccine) that it was on the market awhile ago, then taken off, then back on again. I asked why it was removed and she said it was thought to have caused an issue with colon retraction. (can't remember the medical term). Anyway, it was nice to at least have her address a question I asked.

Enough with the vaccine discussion. About the boys! 

They are great. Amazingly their heads measured the same. What a trip. Here I thought Wesley had a huge head. Developmentally they are right on track. They are hitting on the milestone markers for their age. 

Nathan: 21 3/4 inches long and 9 pounds 13 ounces. (He is small for his age, but his weight/height ratio is perfectly normal)

Wesley 22 1/2 inches long and 10 pounds 11 ounces.

They were so cute getting checked out by the doc. No smiles for her, but certainly good eye contact and lots of coos from Nathan. Wesley was snuggled up against me and not really wanting to be check out by the doc, but he was certainly cooperative once she had him.

After the Ped appointment, I went to Petco and got Jake's birthday present, a fish tank. Can't wait to go fish shopping with him.

Sleep oh how I love you.

My amazing duo slept pretty well last night. In fact, if this is their new norm I'm 10 shades of happy. They slept from about 10:15 till 2 am!!!! Then both boys ate (Wesley had expressed breast milk from a bottle because he's getting gassy from let down issues. And Nathan nursed. I changed their diapers and we were back to sleep by 3am. And they slept till 5:30! I am so happy. 

 

Dreading tomorrow

Boys have a ped appointment. They get their first vaccination shot. I'm only having them get one shot. This part of parenting sucks.

I would love to write a long post about these boys and talk about their personalities. But frankly, I'm too tired and too busy. So I'll leave you with this:
