I am sure I missed a bunch of other reasons to legitimately schedule a C-section. But my main point was that I find it disturbing the pregnant women don't question their doctor when they make statements like, "I won't let you go past 38 weeks". Scheduling for convenience is just obnoxious to me!
Katrina brought up depression as a reason. I get that, I understand that. To me that is a legitimate health concern. Again, I have no issues with legitimate c-sections due to health concerns. It's the arbitrary ones that drive me nuts! I also know of a lady who has a heart condition so for her C-Section is the only safe way for her to have a child. Totally understandable! So I'm not poo-pooing all C-Sections or inductions.
Hubby found Jake straddling our wall on Sunday. It's about 6 feet tall. I walked out shortly after hubby took him off the fence and caught his next attempt on video. I couldn't stand the the thought of him falling while I was videoing so I told him to get down. That brought on the tears as he didn't know I was spying on him.
Big Mama and her newborn lamb had to come back to the house yesterday. Her mastitis flared up again...big time! So she's getting milked multiple times a day by me and she gets medicine. I must say that in just one day it has cleared up a lot.
It is hard to hear but if you listen carefully you can hear Jake call the lamb, "Baaaabeee". Please note my son's obsession with poop, "Kaka". I could watch this lamb jump and play all day. Oh and the reason Big Mama is tied up and has to wear a halter is because I need to catch her twice a day to give her shots. She is extremely hard to catch without a lead on.
Our first lamb of the season is a ram lamb. She had him this morning between 7am and 10:30am. I'm thinking she probably had him around 10am. He was still very wet when I found them. Both mom and baby our doing well. Two more ewes look ready to pop at any moment. The little ram lamb is really cute. He has freckles on his nose. BigMama is being a very attentive and nice mommy and all the other sheep seem to be great extended family. All excited to see him and nobody being pushy with him.
The lady with the light blonde hair, not the reddish hair is my mom's boyfriend's mom. She truly was a grandma when shooting this and she was in her 70's at the time. Kind of funny! This lady and my grandma go back about 60 years.
Jake enjoys his dinner. He sings to us at the dinner table and he has a great time. Until he is full. Then he is ready to leave and if you aren't ready to start cleaning him up and putting him on the ground he turns into a crab. Here's a short clip of the progression from happy to DONE!
Don't you just love what he has done with his hair. I think it is a new product...combo of chicken and butternut squash.
